To Gramps!

Did an oil painting of my grandfather at a coffee shop in Alameda.  His name is Joseph Michaud, and he is an extraordinary fellow with some pretty incredible life stories. The family got together and celebrated his 92nd birthday this month while listening to a few of them.  Everything from helping his mother sell moonshine during the prohibition era to bar fights as a merchant marine during World War II.  At one point, he even had a pet monkey whom sadly drowned in a toilet bowl while he and his roommate were out (good story, I'll see about getting the full details and maybe adding them to this post later.)

First off, Congrats to the 92nd! Now that's a respectable age. I agree the painting is one of your best!
